Welcome to the Kingston Hospital NHS Trust Foundation Training Programme.
Kingston Hospital has links to Kingston University. It serves a population of about 320,000 in Kingston, Esher, Richmond, Roehampton, Putney and other parts of South West London. It provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and has a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in 'patient-focused' care, maternity services, and day surgery. A new Accident & Emergency department opened in December 2001.The hospital's adult acute medical and orthopedic beds are housed in Esher Wing; this wing also houses the main suite of eight operating theatres. The new specialist cancer unit, the Sir William Rous Unit opened to patients in Spring 2008.
The Kingston Surgical Centre opened in 2007. It houses the surgical wards, physiotherapy department, Acute Assessment Unit, restaurant and doctors' mess. It also contains the library and Education Centre with state-of-the-art teaching and presentation technology, and 24 hour access to the internet.
